Ep 111. Greg McGrath of ItalPasta on investing in the future of pasta manufacturing

Joseph Vitale – Founder“Customer satisfaction is the main reason we look for new ways to make enjoying Italpasta even easier. From one pasta lover to another, thank you for inviting Italpasta into your homes – everyday.”

The Story of Italpasta

Joseph Vitale’s lifelong passion for food was formed in his mother’s kitchen in Bari, Italy when he was just a little boy. He founded Italpasta in 1989 and since then, Italpasta Limited has grown to become a premium manufacturer of pasta in Canada.

We employ 300 people, including ten “pastaios” – pasta specialists with a long tradition in their craft. The “pastificio” – the pasta manufacturing plant, is over 230,000 sq. ft. in size and is complimented by our own distribution centre that covers 300,000 sq. ft. with 20 receiving bays.

Thanks to a dedicated team, Italpasta is sold across the country and is a leader in the food service and private label sectors. Located in Brampton, Ontario, Italpasta also produces our high quality pasta for global markets including the United States, the Caribbean, the Philippines, and Asia.

We proudly use only 100% Grade #1 durum semolina purchased from highly specialized durum wheat millers in Canada. We select only product made from the heart of the finest grade of wheat, rejecting any product that does not satisfy our very stringent specifications.

Italpasta also markets an extensive range of imported food product including sauces, tomatoes, olive oil, vinegar, beverages, coffee, biscuits and confectionary – all essential elements to creating a truly Italian–inspired meal.

We take pride in promoting the healthy traditions of the Mediterranean diet and creating new products that meet the needs of every lifestyle. From offering whole grain, to gluten free, to all natural, to high fibre recipes, Italpasta is committed to your wellbeing.

The finest semolina combined with modern Italian technology and made with the utmost care – that’s the Italpasta secret to creating pasta…for pasta lovers.
